This painting is called ?Self Evolving? and is part of a body of paintings using the swimmer motive as a metaphor for life?s journey called ?Body Voyage?.    Here the self goes through an erosion process like the shells and comes out at the end of  the process a jewel.  It was completed pre 2004.  It is 24 X 12 inches.

This piece was completed in 2007.   The inspiration for this piece was my pictures of a bon fire created with my Dad.  It is 8 X 10 inches.
