Baby Deer (Gel Pen Drawing)

Tiger Tribe (Gel Pen Drawing)

Sheba Girl (Transfer Mixed Media)
First I do a blind contour drawing of my friend's cat then I transfer the photo copy image to canvas, and then colour with pastel, coffee, high lighter, acrylic inks, etc.   This work will be part of cat show in 2010 for the Interlorant Gallery.
Mr. Cardinal (Transfer Drawing Oil Painting)
I did a blind contour drawing of a picture I took of Mr. Cardinal in our Maple Tree.  I'm experimenting with the blind contour to create unique designs that I can then photo copy and make transfer art with.
Chateau Hounds (Oil)

I was inspired to do this painting by a picture I took during my 1992 trip to France and the chateaus of the Loire Valley.   One such Chateau still had these hounds for hunting.  This piece was purchased by Patty Kelly.

The Acadian Chicken Danse (Oil)

I was inspired to do this painting by pictures I took of this chicken in the Acadian Village in New Brunswick hence the title.  Its 8 X 10 inches.

Cow Patches (Bondex Transfers and Oils on Board)

In the 90?s I went through a cow phase and would stop to take pictures of cows on my bike rides to use in my paintings.  This transfer art work was a collection of images of cows from my pictures where I used the bondex transfer technique to remove the toner onto these pieces of jean patches with glue on one side.  I collaged them on board and added some oil paints.  This work sold at an art auction.

Port Dalhousie Carousel - Sandy Horse (Oil)

In 1990 I was approached by the City of St. Catharines through the St. Catharines Art Association to organize a painting project to repaint the Port Dalhousie Carousel.  I called in my friend Pat to help organize the project with her daughter Jill creating a video of our project.  I painted about 5 animals including the Lion.   The Lakeside Park Carousel in Port Dalhousie is a Charles Looff original, carved between 1898 and 1905 in Brooklyn, New York. The carousel came to St. Catharines in 1921, from its earlier home in Hanlan?s Point, Scarborough Beach in Toronto.  It was purchased to be a part of the amusement park flourishing in Port Dalhousie, and was one of 58 attractions in the park.  The Lakeside Park Carousel has 68 animals, in 4 rows.
