Primal Need #2 (Chalk Pastel and Vaseline )
This work was done for my graduating year at Brock in chalk pastel and Vaseline. I used an image in the newspapers of a group of women running in a sporting event of which I was one of the participants but in the photo just my arm can be seen. I exaggerated the colour of their skin to look like the layer of muscle underneath the skin. This work was done on 6 pieces of Mayfair paper and is Wall size.

Eve and Adam in Aruba's Playground (Oil)
My husband and I about 1993 went on a bike and cruise trip where we would go on cycling journey?s on several islands. The first island stop was Aruba. The couple who organized the trip sent me back a photo of my self and Ron riding in the section where the glacier left big boulder rocks from the US West on this island. I love the picture so I did a painting from it. This pictures was in the Nov-March 1999 invitational group show on the sporting life at the The Gallery Stratford.

This painting is a play on Rousseau?s painting called the Dream where he has a nude looking out to the male gaze. The background foliage comes from a picture I took of the indoor garden at the Burlington Art Center. It is 20 x 16 inches.
